Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This page says exactly what this website collects, who receives it, and how to stop it. It covers seenwebdev.com only. It does not cover the websites we build and run for our clients, each of which publishes its own policy.

Three things are worth stating plainly at the top, because they are the questions people actually have.

  1. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
  2. This site runs one analytics tag, Google Analytics 4. It is the only tracker on the site.
  3. The free assessment form on this site sends your email address and website to SEOptimer, an outside company that generates the audit report. Details in section 3.

1. Who we are

Seen Web Developers LLC is responsible for the personal information described on this page. We are a California limited liability company, and a digital marketing and web development business.

  • Post: 2108 N St Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States
  • Email: info@seenwebdev.com
  • Phone: +1 (510) 982-1211

If you want to reach us about anything on this page, email info@seenwebdev.com with “Privacy” in the subject line.

2. What this page does not cover

  • Our clients’ websites. We build and operate websites for other businesses. When you are on a client’s site, that business decides what is collected and publishes its own policy. This page does not apply there.
  • Websites we link to. We link out to Calendly, Google Maps, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and a sample reporting dashboard. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under their policy, not ours.

3. The three forms on this site

3a. “Get Your Free Assessment” (on every page)

This form does not submit to us. It submits to SEOptimer.

What it asks forRequired
Your website addressNo
Your email addressNo

SEOptimer (seoptimer.com) is an SEO auditing company. We hold a white-label account with them, which is why the form and the report appear under our name at reports.seenwebdev.com rather than theirs. When you submit the form, your email address and the website you entered go to SEOptimer, which generates the audit report and emails it to you. SEOptimer handles that data under its own privacy policy and under our agreement with them.

We receive your email address and website so that we can follow up about the audit.

We are in the process of replacing this tool. When we do, the form will submit to us directly, our own team will run the audit, and SEOptimer will come off this page. We will update this policy on the day that changes, not after.

3b. The newsletter form (on every page)

One field, your email address. We use it to send you marketing emails about our services. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also email info@seenwebdev.com and ask us to remove you.

Sign-ups are emailed to us and stored in this website’s database on our hosting, along with your IP address, your browser’s user agent string and the page you signed up from.

3c. The enquiry form (on our contact page)

This is the detailed one. It asks for:

  • Your name and email address, both required
  • Your phone number, optional
  • Your business name, required
  • Your industry, required, chosen from a list
  • Your average client value, required, chosen from a range
  • Your current monthly advertising budget, optional, chosen from a range
  • What you are trying to fix, optional, chosen from a list
  • Whether you have worked with an agency before, required

All of it is business information about a company you run, and we use it for one purpose: to work out whether we can help you, and to reply. We do not use it to build an advertising audience and we do not pass it to anyone to do that.

Submissions are emailed to us and stored in this website’s database on our hosting. Alongside what you type, each stored submission also records your IP address, your browser’s user agent string and the page you submitted from. When you send this form you also get an automatic acknowledgement from the site, at the address you entered.

3d. Where your details go after that

We use GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management platform, to keep track of the people we are talking to and the conversations we are having. If you enquire, book a call, or become a client, your contact details and a record of our correspondence are kept there. GoHighLevel holds that data on our behalf and under our instructions, and nobody outside Seen has access to our account.

What is in it is contact and conversation detail: your name, your business, how to reach you, what you asked about, and what we said. It is not a marketing audience, it is not sold, and it is not shared with advertising platforms.

4. Analytics, and the one tracker on this site

This site uses Google Analytics 4, property G-5YEFF3V01F. It loads on every page.

It collects, for every visitor:

  • The pages you view, when, and in what order
  • The approximate location Google derives from your IP address. Google uses your IP address to work this out and does not store it in Analytics
  • Your device type, browser, operating system and screen size
  • The website or search that sent you here
  • Two interactions we have asked it to record: taps on the phone number in the mobile bar, and taps on the booking button

It sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_5YEFF3V01F, which identify your browser as a returning one. They expire two years after your last visit.

Google deletes this analytics data after the retention period set on our Analytics property. If you would like to know what that period is currently set to, email us and we will tell you.

There is no cookie banner on this site, and that is a deliberate choice. A banner exists to get your consent before advertising trackers fire. This site has no advertising trackers, so a banner would be asking you to consent to nothing. Instead, this section tells you what runs and the next one tells you how to switch it off.

How to opt out of Google Analytics

Any of these works, and none of them affects how the site functions:

  • Install Google’s official opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This stops Google Analytics on every site you visit, not just ours.
  • Turn on your browser’s tracking protection, or use a content blocker. Most block Analytics by default.
  • Email info@seenwebdev.com and ask us to delete the analytics data associated with you. We will need something that identifies the records, so tell us roughly when you visited and from where.

5. What is not on this site

This list is here because it is the part people assume the worst about, and because it is checkable. As of October 2, 2026, seenwebdev.com runs:

  • No Meta pixel. Nothing on this site reports to Facebook or Instagram. Our social icons are ordinary links
  • No Google Ads tag and no conversion tracking
  • No Google Tag Manager container
  • No call tracking. The phone number on this site is the same number for every visitor. It is not swapped per visitor and your calls are not recorded or transcribed by this website
  • No LinkedIn insight tag, no Microsoft Clarity, no Hotjar, no session recording and no heatmaps. Nobody is watching a replay of your visit
  • No advertising cookies and no data broker

If any of that changes, this section changes with it, on the same day.

6. Who receives your information

WhoWhat they getWhy
SEOptimerYour email address and website, from the assessment form onlyThey generate the audit report
GoHighLevelYour contact details and our correspondence with you, as in section 3dOur customer relationship management system
Google (Analytics)The analytics data in section 4Site measurement
Our web hostAnything the site stores, plus standard server logsRunning the website
CalendlyYour name, email and whatever else their form asks, if you book a callScheduling. You are on calendly.com at that point, under their policy
Our email providerEnquiries and newsletter sign-upsReceiving and sending email

Beyond that list: nobody. We do not sell personal information, we do not rent or trade mailing lists, and we do not share your information for anyone else’s advertising.

We will disclose information if the law requires it, for example a valid subpoena or court order. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

7. How long we keep things

WhatHow long
Enquiries, assessment requests and our correspondence with youUntil you ask us to delete them. We do not delete them on a timer, so if you want them gone, tell us and we will
Newsletter subscribersUntil you unsubscribe, then we keep the fact that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again
The copy of a form submission stored on this websiteUntil you ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops the emails, it does not remove the original record of your sign-up or enquiry, so if you want that gone as well, say so and we will delete it
Analytics dataThe retention period set on our Google Analytics property, after which Google deletes it. Section 4
Server logsAs long as our host keeps them for security and diagnostics
Client recordsCovered by our agreement with that client, not by this page

8. Your choices

You can ask us to do any of the following, whichever state or country you are in. We are not asking you to prove you qualify under a particular law.

  • Tell you what we hold about you. We will send you a copy
  • Correct it if it is wrong
  • Delete it. We will, unless we are required to keep it
  • Stop emailing you. Unsubscribe from any email, or tell us
  • Stop the analytics, as in section 4

Email info@seenwebdev.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. We will reply within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If someone is acting on your behalf, we will need you to confirm that in writing before we send anything.

Two things that may not be obvious:

  • We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front and no “Do Not Sell” switch to look for.
  • Because this site has no advertising trackers, a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser has nothing here to act on. We honour it in the sense that there is nothing to honour.

9. Children

This site sells services to business owners. It is not aimed at children, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and we have no reason to. If you believe a child has sent us something, email info@seenwebdev.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions and to the analytics account is limited to the people at Seen who need it.

We are not going to claim this site is unbreachable, because no site is. What we will say is that this site holds business contact details and nothing more sensitive: no payment card details, no social security numbers, no health information, and no patient data of any kind. This site is not a place where that kind of data is collected or stored.

11. Changes to this page

When we change something material, we update the date at the top and say what changed. The changes already scheduled, so you are not surprised by them:

  • Replacing the SEOptimer assessment form with our own, which removes section 3a’s transfer entirely
  • Connecting the website forms directly to GoHighLevel, which changes the route your details take but not who ends up holding them
